Breaking News: PSP Changes Venue – New Jersey Open is Now Mid-Atlantic Open
- Updated: July 9, 2012 at 9:54 PM
In a move that is leaving many players scratching their heads, the PSP has moved their fourth event of the year from Topgun Paintball in Jackson, New Jersey to Outdoor Xtreme Chesapeake City in Chesapeak City, Maryland. This change comes only a month and a few days before the event was scheduled and no real reason has been given from the PSP as to why the venue was changed.
Below is a statement and press release from Camille Lemanski of the PSP:
“We do not take changing a venue mid-season lightly, but felt that due to some unforeseen obstacles with the New Jersey venue, this was the clear decision that needed to be made. Rick Carver of OXCC has been very enthusiastic about hosting this event and we are confident the teams will want to return to play on his turf-like grass fields year after year.
We have extended the first team entry fee deadline for this event by one week. Teams now have until Monday, July 16th to pay for team entries at the lowest rate opposed to the original early deadline of July 9th. The final deadline for all entries and on-line ID Cards will remain Monday, July 30th.”
