Mike Hinman of the West Coast Paintball Players League has confirmed to Social Paintball that professional paintball teams Tampa Bay Damage and Edmonton Impact have signed up to play both Professional/Open Division tournaments that the WCPPL will be holding this coming season. Logically, this begs the question: what if the dates conflict with PSP events? To this, Hinman simply replied, “They won’t.”
Hinman told us: “The WCPPL is excited to announce that Edmonton Impact and Tampa Bay Damage will be competing in our two Pro/Open events this year. This is a great opportunity for our regional teams to be able to see the best teams in the world compete on their local stage. And with a minimum of $10,000.00 cash for first place, we expect to see some stiff competition.”
Currently, more professional paintball teams are set to sign up, with the addition of two of the best in the world it seems only a matter of time before even more take the plunge. Stay tuned to Social Paintball as we cover this developing story, and begin our march into 2014.
