The competition at the 2012 NPPL Chicago Open picked up right where it left on in Huntington Beach. XSV, stumbling early against Infamous, came back looking strong. They are the real deal this year and have a legitimate shot at winning the event – if they don’t run into Infamous again. The matches were mostly drama-free, although Infamous delivered a vicious bonus balling early in a match against Avalanche. The weather for Friday’s prelims could not have been any better, the heat being tempered by a cool breeze. Saturday and Sunday photos will be uploaded soon, the Elite 8 begins tomorrow at 9AM tomorrow with Damage vs. Arsenal, X-Factor vs. Infamous, Impact vs. XSV, and Uprising vs. Explicit.
