From the Paintball Vault, Ep 3 – Mark 1, Pump-action Paintball Marker, Darkside, Inc.

Joe from Behind the Bunker takes us into his paintball vault. From The Vault is a look back at the beginnings of paintball from the earliest guns to gear to magazines and everything in-between.

This episode focuses on the Mark 1, made by Darkside Inc. This gun was very unique in that there is no hopper. All of the paintballs (68 caliber) were held inside of the body. The bottom of the body was angled to give a direct feed effect to the paintballs. This model allowed for an external air source in the from of a quick changer or CO2 tank. The earlier model had an internal 12 gram. There was also a Mark II made.

Joe also shows us JT Racing’s GSX Whippersnappers with thermal lens Ear Armor ear protection that velcros onto the goggle strap from episode 2.
